I am writing this for all the children who are appearing for their board exams and entrance exams in India and around the world….
This is a topic very close to my heart and I am venturing into this arena to fulfill the request of a “well wisher” who has commented (on Time just flies…) on the stress taken by students appearing for the board exams and hopes that I would write something about it.
I would like to wish you all the very best in your forthcoming exams.
Your journey started 10 or 12 years ago…. It started with “Jack and Jill went up the hill, to fetch a pail of water……
From the kindergarten to the primary and then to secondary grade, it was a long journey. An educational flight where you learnt about various subjects and topics…..
Now you might be either in your 10th grade or 12th grade and probably studying hard for those tedious entrance exams. …
If you are a 10th grader you would be desperate to score well so as to gain admission in a good reputed college /university for your +2. Probably your choice of stream would be decided based on your marks…..
If you are a 12th grader then you might have already chosen the stream and striving hard to acquire high grades to get into a professional stream and acquire a degree…
The entrance exams are an extra burden. There is so much to study and very little of that to use later in life. This exam is purely for getting a seat in a good college/university for a professional course.
I feel that studies have taken up your entire life and that your whole world is only about studying and getting grades. You are very young in life to take so much stress. You have been taking tension since last so many years. And now it has reached the peak.
You are afraid of falling and hold on tightly to the tip. Don’t fear-this is all that I have to say.
No exam or no grade is worth more than your happiness and your life. I am not telling you not to study and just let go and enjoy life. Just that don’t forget to live your life…..Studies are just a part of life….not the entire life itself…
